Mr Billy Jowett
Billy Jowett graduated from Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Medical School in 1996 and subsequently worked in Accident and Emergency at St. Thomas’ and taught anatomy at the medical school. He undertook his basic surgical training and his specialist orthopaedic training in the Wessex region.
His training was augmented by an AO trauma fellowship in Seattle, USA, in 2002 and foot and ankle fellowships in Auckland, New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia in 2006-7 for which he was awarded an HCA International travelling fellowship. He has also been awarded an American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Travelling Fellowship for 2010.
Mr Jowett was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008. His specialist interests are sports injuries to the foot and ankle, arthroscopic surgery and bunion surgery.
Mr Jowett has published and presented internationally on foot and ankle problems. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association as well as the British and American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Societies.
