Chronic compartment syndrome
Chronic compartment syndrome is due to activity related muscle swelling causing shin pain. We often diagnose the condition without tests however, we can use specialist testing equipment if there is any uncertainty.
If moderating activities is unsuccessful in alleviating the symptoms, fasciotomy surgery can provide excellent results.
Foot and ankle pain may sometimes be due to back problems (sciatica, arthritis of the spine) and, if this is the case, we will refer you to the appropriate specialist
