Forefoot Pain
Pain in the toes, on the top of the forefoot or under the ball of the foot has a long list of possible causes and is sometimes called metatarsalgia. However, this is just the "name of the pain" and does not indicate the underlying cause.
Such pains are commonly associated with bunions, tight calf muscles, poorly fitting shoes or unaccustomed exercise. Naturally, applying the correct treatment relies on making a precise diagnosis.
